Christopher Reyes
A true son of San Antonio, Texas, Chris grew up experiencing life all around the city. He lived on the East, South, and Northeast sides of San Antonio, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 2002. After high school, he attended St. Mary’s University for a semester before joining the United States Army in February 2003 as a field artillery crew member.
During his almost fifteen years in the Army, he was stationed in South Korea, Germany, Kansas, and Georgia. He served on multiple deployments to Romania, Bulgaria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Columbia, earning a multitude of medals, including the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Award. In 2017, he was honorably discharged and returned home to San Antonio.
Chris and his wife Heidi met while he was on leave in San Antonio between duty stations in 2005 and married in Germany in 2007. They live in San Antonio’s Pheasant Ridge neighborhood and have four amazing and brilliant children: Mila, Lilian, Solomon, and Eva. He graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Geographic Information Science and a Minor in Computer Science and is currently employed as a Survey Tech for an engineering company.
Chris’s interest in public service began in elementary school, where he volunteered helping the special needs teachers at Ridgeview. He continued to volunteer in various programs throughout his schooling and while serving in the Army. He remains committed to volunteering when possible for the Bexar County Republican Party and Cornerstone Church. He is highly invested in San Antonio, with family living on all sides of town.
